These Terms govern your use of CarVerdict — 14 AI-powered car tools, a Garage tracker, and a car quiz, available at carverdict.app and related apps. By creating an account or using any tool, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use CarVerdict.

1. The service

CarVerdict provides AI-generated estimates, checks, and advice about cars — including but not limited to repair quote analysis, symptom diagnosis, vehicle valuations, VIN lookups, insurance comparisons, and cost calculators — plus a Garage feature for tracking your own vehicle's maintenance, and a car trivia quiz. Some tools are free with daily limits; a Pro subscription removes those limits.

2. Accounts

You must provide an accurate email address and keep your login credentials secure.
You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract under the laws that apply to you.
You're responsible for all activity under your account.
One free 2-day Pro trial is granted per device/network as well as per account — creating multiple accounts from the same device to farm repeated free trials is not permitted and may result in the trial being withheld or the account being suspended.

3. AI-generated content — read this

Every result CarVerdict gives you — value estimates, scam-check verdicts, symptom diagnoses, insurance comparisons, VIN decodes, and everything else — is generated by AI and is an estimate, not a guarantee or professional advice. AI can be wrong, out of date, or miss details specific to your exact vehicle or situation.

Do not treat CarVerdict's output as a substitute for a qualified mechanic's inspection, a licensed insurance broker, a lawyer, or a financial advisor — especially before making a major purchase, sale, or repair decision. Always verify anything important with a real professional before acting on it. CarVerdict is a research and decision-support tool, not a certified inspection or appraisal service.

4. Free trial, subscriptions & billing

Free plan: limited daily uses per tool, forever, at no cost.
2-day Pro trial: every new account automatically gets 2 days of full Pro access, no card required.
Pro subscription: $3.99/month or $39.99/year, billed automatically through Paystack (mobile money, local cards, bank transfer) or Lemon Squeezy (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay) depending on your region, until you cancel.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Prices may change with notice; continuing your subscription after a price change means you accept the new price.

5. Refunds & cancellation

We offer a 48-hour, no-questions-asked refund on your first Pro payment — email carverdict.billing@gmail.com within 48 hours of subscribing and we'll refund you in full. After 48 hours, that specific payment is non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time and keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. We recommend using your 2-day free trial to try everything before your first payment.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Attempt to bypass, automate, or abuse daily usage limits, guest limits, or the trial system.
Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell CarVerdict's tools or AI outputs at scale.
Use CarVerdict to generate harmful, illegal, or fraudulent content about real people or vehicles (e.g. fake VIN histories to mislead a buyer).
Interfere with the security or normal operation of the service, including attempts to circumvent rate limiting or authentication.
Use another person's payment information without authorization.

Violating this section may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

7. Intellectual property

CarVerdict's branding, design, and underlying software are our property. The specific AI-generated text/data you receive for your own query is yours to use personally (e.g. share a scam-check result, print a maintenance record) — but you may not resell, redistribute, or represent CarVerdict's tools or output as your own product.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, fraud, chargebacks, or abuse of the service. You may delete your own account at any time from your Profile page, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

CarVerdict is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that AI-generated estimates will match real-world outcomes, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any car deal, repair, or sale you make based on our output will turn out as expected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarVerdict and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including financial loss from decisions made based on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, regardless of where you access CarVerdict from.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as CarVerdict evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use CarVerdict after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
